Our container desiccant is specifically designed to provide optimal protection for your cargo during rail, ocean, or air shipments, effectively preventing moisture-related damage. It is also highly suitable for use in marine vessels such as boats and yachts, as well as RVs, ensuring that your food and belongings remain unaffected by adverse weather conditions.
Check containers to ensure:
1. The container is dry and clean, does not leak air and water, and is suitable for shipping goods;
2. The container is not damaged: close the container door, there is no "obvious light leakage" from the inside, and there are no cracks or holes on the container wall, top and bottom;
3. The container door can be closed tightly, and the rubber used for the door seal should be good;
4. The wooden boards of the container before loading must be dry, clean, and free of obvious wet stains.
Check water content of container wood floor:
1. It is better not to use containers with wooden floor humidity exceeding 20%. If containers cannot be selected, the amount of container desiccant needs to be appropriately increased. For every 1.5% increase in humidity, 1 kg of desiccant should be added accordingly;
2. Please do not use containers with wooden floor humidity exceeding 25%.
1) How can Topcod container desiccant work when it is inside container?
The materials of container desiccants are specially selected for their breathability.
Water vapor passes through them to be adsorbed by the Calcium chloride desiccant.
2) Does Topcod container desiccant comes ready to use?
Yes. The container desiccant does not need to be generated before use.
It is always sold (packs or pole/box) in a dry condition, ready to use.
3) How much water vapor can CaCl2 Container desiccant hold?
Calcium chloride will adsorb 300% of its own weight in moisture.
4) Do Calcium chloride dangerous?
Calcium chloride is non-toxic and non-flammable, it is very inert with a very high ignition point. It is very much like floor and thus can safely be sent by any means of transport.
